You are not taking regular medication
If you are taking regular prescribed medication, this could react with the study drugs. Therefore it will not be possible to place you on a study at that time. If your medication is short term, irregular or infrequent,(e.g. hayfever tablets) then you may still apply. . If you are over 60 some medications are allowed.
You are not currently being investigated for a medical condition
You must not be having any medical follow up due to an illness or condition or awaiting medical treatment.
You are not breast feeding
Or have not given birth within the last year.
You are not excessively overweight
Unfortunately we would be unable to accept you if you are more than 3-5 stone over your ideal weight.
You have not suffered from a severe allergic reaction
We can still proceed if your reaction was a rash, nausea or vomiting. However if you have suffered from the following reactions you will be unsuitable;
  • severe swelling
  • breathing difficulties
  • weals or
  • have collapsed
  • fainting, seizures or LOC
If you have suffered any of the following conditions
Unfortunately you will not be suitable:
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • TB
  • Hepatitis B or C
  • HIV
  • High BP
  • Stroke
  • Heart Disease
